So the question came up, will moving Cannons Concept to a blog hurt my SEO performance on Google. The easy answer from my previous search terms is yes. Cannons Concept was targeting keywords such as web design and graphic design. Oddly enough, Cannons Concept was actually doing very well with these keywords and other keyword phrases. The next question would come up, why would you change your website into a blog?
Well, the short and sweet answer is, I am not targeting any keywords to draw traffic at the moment. This means I don’t need to custom build my pages. Moving Cannons Concept into a blog environment actually cuts down on maintenance of the website. Now I can actually work on creating content that people may find valuable. I am hoping that I can help people find solutions to problems that I run into or find some useful tips and tricks to whats out there on the web.
In short, moving a custom built website into a CMS environment will have an impact on overall SEO performance of the website. If you are not worried about keywords then there is no reason to stpo yourself from working smarter, not harder.
