Computer Repair – Pensacola

Computer repair pensacolaThought I would share a great place to get your computer fixed if you live in Pensacola Florida, or if you are having virus issues on your PC. I found myself having PC problems not to long ago and the CEO of computerrepairspensacola.com helped me get my computer back on track. He took the time to trouble shoot my issues for a few weeks until it was up and running again.

It’s hard to find a trust worthy computer repair company out there, but these guys are legit. They not only help you repair it, they keep the cost low. I wouldn’t normally recommend someone unless I really thought they had value to what they sold.

So keep in mind if you are having computer issues, from viruses to blue screens of death, reach out to computerrepairpensacola.com. Make sure you let them know cannonsconcept sent you!

Corel Crashing While Working

This post seemed important to bring across since it talked about graphic design software.

Corel crashing on you while you try to work on it? I had a family member have the same problem where every time they would open Corel and try doing any type of function (crop, change colors etc) it would crash and give different errors. I volunteered to try and solve this riddle. They took the computer to a type of ‘geek squad’ company down the street and they tried everything from switching out the memory, to reformatting it, reinstalling it and a lot of other methods. Once the computer was brought home guess what happened when Corel was turned on? Yeah it crashed again!

I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to do anything extra if the ‘geek squad’ couldn’t fix it. Well I did what most people do and checked Google and it seems like this crash is happening a lot. My first reaction is there must be a problem between windows and Corel. I tried a few fixes like creating a .bat file with some lines of code to try and refresh Corel to reinstalling it. I thought I had it working but a few days later I got the call “It’s broken again!”. Hah, no computer repair person wants to hear that so quickly! To make a long story short however I did end up fixing it *crosses fingers*. It’s been working for two weeks now without any bugs so I am hoping everything is fine!

Oh yeah, I guess you want to know how I fixed it? Well I ended up using the recovery discs that the computer came with and reinstalling windows after backing up all the information. Yeah, I did think the geek squad already did that but they used a different version of Windows XP. I am guessing it has to do with some updates or something to that extent that eventually makes Corel crash like that or bad coding from Corel. Anyways, all’s well that ends well!

Internet Explorer 8 Freezes when Closing

This is another old post I had created for an IE 8 explorer issue.

Came across an irritating bug today while working on a family members computer. Apparently their Internet Explorer 8 has started to either freeze the computer and the screen wouldn’t refresh or it would cause the computer to idle. Talk about annoying! Everything you started to do afterword would end up freezing on the screen. The first thing I thought it could be was the video card. I had asked them if they had noticed any issues and apparently they were getting errors left and right.

Well now it sounds like a windows problem. You never know what people do on their own computer so it’s hard to know exactly what could be causing any issues. After looking the computer over and not finding anything out of the ordinary, I started to worry that I would have to do the dreaded ‘format’. Then I thought of something that should always be tried first when troubleshooting – RESTART! Now I don’t mean restart the computer, but restart the program or whatever you are trying to fix to factory settings.

Walla! Once I restored Internet Explorer to default settings, getting rid of any add-ons installed, the darn thing worked fine!

This is what I did to restore the settings:

  1. go to tools and the internet options
  2. go do the advanced tab
  3. click the rest button. this will prompt you if you ‘really’ want to rest explorer. Just click yes and your ready to roll!

Hope this helps anyone who is having the same problem
